Quick Update: My Copy of David and Goliath

Aaaaaand I’m back. I’m currently still playing WoW, and currently farming fire elementals in Arathi.

*Sigh* And they’ve all been killed by Horde. This is karma for me playing a gnome.

But that doesn’t mean that’s ALL I’ve been doing. I’ve also been working, and with whatever energy remains from work, I’ve been painting. I’ve finished my copy of Caravaggio’s “David Holding the Head of Goliath” a couple months ago:

The unframed painting itself is $500, and 50% will be going to support Veterans (still researching nonprofits).

So, just a quick excerpt on my thought process. I was particularly drawn to this painting because of the idea that Caravaggio made this into his self portrait. Rather, he painted his own face on the decapitated Goliath. I’m inspired to make a self portrait of my own in this manner (only as a painting of the decapitated Medusa).
