Lent started a couple weeks ago. For those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s 40 days where Catholics (and I know for sure Lutheran, but I don’t know so much about other sects of Christianity), commemorate the 40 days Jesus was in the desert. We usually give up something (typically something dietContinue reading “Art as a Spiritual Practice”
Making art can be viewed as a meditation. Today, it’s literally so. In my attempt to get out of art block, I wrote a quote that made me think a little too much as I was drawing.
Happy Advent everyone! I’m a bit pressed for time, but I did manage to draw something today! Yay! Since today’s the first day of Advent, I thought it only appropriate to draw an annunciation scene. Hey, everyone. So… I learned the hard way that before you start any project with a medium you haven’t done before, you really need to do your research. So, it’s with a heavy heart that I say that the drawing of Mary and Jesus I spent a few days doing is no longer visible.Continue reading “Our Lady of the Wood: Lenten Project Day 10: I Messed Up”
